The target objects can be made of any material at all such as plastic, metal, wood, stone, concrete etc. GPR can also detect non-objects such as hollow cavities (voids); If the conditions are favorable, GPR can “see” virtually anything.
The GPR radio frequencies (also known as radar waves or signals) bounce off any object they encounter and are received back at the antenna. The signals are then transmitted by wire from the antenna to a computer where they are processed, analyzed, and displayed on the screen of the computer.
